Life Without A Camera

Trying to make large prints from a photo taken with an iPhone reminds me of the challenges in early digital photography, when the files from an $8,000 camera were just about as fragile. Alas, I figured out how to do it. Along the way, I went back to a few of my older files and gave them the same treatment. These two from a trip to Coney Island shortly after I arrived in NYC.

Those Berlin Years VII: Amrumerstrasse

I still prefer the subway in Berlin over any line here in NYC. The scene above, that was at Amrumerstrasse station – loved the tiles and skirt. And yet, I don’t know if I ever was a Berliner. I’m a Manhattanite for now. Given a choice, I might prefer a mountain hut in the Dolomites to all this.
