Drawings, Photographs, Papers, and Notes From Nowhere

Inadvertently, I was following the photography tribe to Rochester. But I did not even make it to the Magnum exhibition. As someone who hated every single Kodak product I ever used with the exception of Kodachrome, I am torn about the demise of the company. I had a different destination: a philosophy conference at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In the end, my interest was mostly captured by the trees: this is a place where forests abound.
In my mind, I’m turning to the projects for the summer, which will take me, among other places, to Mont Blanc. I haven’t been to Switzerland all that much lately, and indeed never to Mont Blanc. Apart from a depressing occasion one early June, when everything was closed because, for whatever reason, Mont Blanc season begins only in mid-June. This year I’ll give it another try.
